Intermittent closures planned along Interstate 17 between SR 74 and Loop 303 early morning May 7
The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers who use Interstate 17 in Phoenix to plan for slower traffic at times as crews prepare for the I-17 Happy Valley Road to State Route 74 Pavement Project.
- North- and southbound I-17 will have intermittent closures lasting up to 15 minutes between SR 74 and Loop 303 from 1 a.m. to 5 a.m. Tuesday, May 7.
Drivers should use caution and be prepared to slow down and stop when approaching and traveling through any work zones.
Southbound I-17 to be closed from SR 74 (Carefree Highway) to Loop 303 May 10-13
The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drives who use southbound Interstate 17 in the Anthem and north Phoenix areas to allow extra travel time and consider alternate routes while the following closure is in place for a pavement improvement project:
- Southbound I-17 will be CLOSED between State Route 74 and Loop 303 from 10 p.m. Friday, May 10, to 5 a.m. Monday, May 13. The following ramps also will be closed:
- The southbound I-17 on-ramps at Daisy Mountain Drive and Pioneer Road
DETOUR: Southbound drivers may use westbound State Route 74 to southbound Lake Pleasant Parkway and eastbound Loop 303 to connect to I-17 beyond the closure.
Drivers should use caution and be prepared to slow down and merge safely when approaching and traveling through work zones.
